Abbey Community Association Hall
Abbey Community Association in the Abbey Manor estate in Yeovil owns and runs a modern community hall. They were looking at the opportunity to fit solar PV panels when SSCES made a presentation to them on 18th March 2015.
They confirmed their interest (subject to detail surveys and contract) to SSCES on 23rd March, subsequently confirmed in their minutes. The expected generating capacity is estimated to be 13 kW.
Installation is scheduled to take place in October 2015
Electricity will be charged to the hall at less than half their normal rate.
No planning approval requirement is anticipated for this project, but a structural survey will be carried out before proceeding with the installation.
